Two programs apply: Federal STCs (up to about $3,800 for a battery in the full-rate band, depending on size and installation date) and the WA Battery Scheme ($130/kWh up to $1,300 for Synergy customers, 10 kWh maximum eligible capacity). Both stack. The WA scheme requires VPP enrolment.

Battery prices have stabilised after years of decline. Under the federal STC framework in force since 1 May 2026, batteries up to 14 kWh receive the full rebate factor, with reduced allocations at the 14–28 kWh and 28–50 kWh tiers.
