Why start with a brand?

Battery and inverter warranties run 10+ years, and a warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it in Australia. When a manufacturer leaves, and several have, warranty support, service parts and software updates can leave with it. So check how long a brand has been here and whether it has local support, then look at its range.

Library FAQs

Because battery and inverter warranties run 10+ years, and the warranty is only as good as the company behind it here. If a manufacturer leaves Australia (several have), warranty support, service parts and software updates can go with it. Looking at the brand first lets you check its Australian presence before you look at the product range.
How long the brand has been CEC-approved and active in Australia, and whether it has local support on record. Every model listed is on the Clean Energy Council Approved Products Register. Product safety recalls are listed the same way for every brand, from the ACCC product-recall register. Inverters on Synergy's approved inverter list are marked model by model, from Synergy's own register.
It is a practical guide to whether a brand will still be here to honour a warranty in year 8. On the Brands tab, the “In Australia 5+ years” quick pick keeps makers with five or more years in Australia and local support on record. Newer brands are listed the same way; they simply have less local history for you to judge by.
That Solar Battery Perth has Australian support on record for the brand, from its product listings or checked by us. No badge means we have not verified it yet, not that the brand has no local support.
Yes. On any tab, the “In Australia 5+ years” quick pick keeps makers with five or more years in Australia. On the Brands tab it also needs local support on record. Under All filters you can also set a minimum number of years in Australia.
Every model here comes from the Clean Energy Council's Approved Products Register, and each listing shows whether it is still within its approval window. Expired listings stay visible for history, clearly marked. CEC approval is a baseline: it says the product meets the standards the CEC lists it against, not how well it is supported here, which is what the brand details on this page add.
Whether a system can join Synergy's Battery Rewards virtual power plant (VPP), which pays activation credits when the battery exports during peak events. It depends on the inverter: Synergy's Supported Solutions List names the inverters it can control. Since 1 May 2026, new and upgraded WA systems have had to meet remote-management rules that use the CSIP-AUS standard, unless their exports are capped.
