These relationships include:

• Installer Referrals: When you submit a quote request, we connect you with verified installers and the installer pays us a flat $30 inc GST ($27.27 ex GST) referral fee. We're paid whether or not you proceed with an installation, so our recommendations are never skewed by who pays us. The fee is the same flat $30 for every installer in our network — no one can pay to rank higher.
• No Product Affiliations: We do not receive commissions or payments from battery manufacturers. Our product information is independent.
• No Advertising Revenue: We do not display third-party advertisements or accept payment for editorial content.

Our product rankings, comparisons, and recommendations are determined by objective criteria including:

• CEC approval status and compliance
• Manufacturer market tenure in Australia
• Verified local support presence
• ABN and business registration status
• Product specifications and warranty terms
• Community-reported experiences (when available)
• Legal issues, recalls, or regulatory actions

Payment or commercial relationships do not influence product rankings. A battery from a manufacturer we have no relationship with will rank the same as one where we might earn referral fees through installer partnerships.

Installers must meet the following criteria to partner with us:

• Current SAA (Solar Accreditation Australia) accreditation
• Valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
• Appropriate insurance coverage
• Clean regulatory record
• Positive customer feedback history

We regularly audit partner installers and will remove any who fail to maintain these standards, regardless of the revenue they generate for our platform.

• Solar generation: Bureau of Meteorology solar irradiance data for Perth and WA
