The five steps
Pre-approval
InstallerYour installer submits the design with model numbers.
Offer
YouYou receive export and inverter capacity terms to accept. Check the approved export limit on the offer.
Install day
InstallerHardware mounted, AC/DC wiring, protection, labelling.
Commissioning
InstallerInverter settings made, including the WA grid setting (Region B), and network tests.
Metering and turn-on
Retailer + networkRetailer and network actions, then app setup and handover to you.
After switch-on: 21 days of monitoring
For systems installed from 1 May 2026, exports are checked for 21 days. If the system doesn't meet the rules, its export limit can be reduced.
