The WA Battery Scheme pays $130 per kWh on the first 10 kWh, capped at $1,300. Capacities under 5 kWh receive nothing, and every capacity from 10 kWh up receives the same $1,300. A larger battery does not earn a larger rebate. Whether a particular product qualifies also depends on it being Synergy-approved. “Over the cap” does not mean you should not buy it; the extra capacity is simply at full price. Figures come from each size’s own CEC listing; SBP holds no verified per-size pricing for this series.

Is it right for your home?, Sigenergy Sigen Energy Storage System

The Sigenergy SigenStor is a modular all-in-one energy storage system that combines inverter, battery, and an optional EV charging module on one platform. Rather than a fixed 5 kWh-per-step ladder, capacity is built by stacking battery modules under the integrated inverter: the CEC register lists residential SigenStor configurations spanning roughly 5 kWh to over 50 kWh of usable capacity, across two CEC-approved hardware generations (a 2024 generation and a current 2026 generation with larger modules). The system delivers 97% round-trip efficiency and IP66 weatherproofing.

The optional EV charging module (up to 25kW) supports solar-to-EV charging without a separate charger, which can reduce hardware and installation cost for EV owners. The SigenEnergy app uses AI-based energy optimisation.

Sigenergy entered the Australian market in 2024 with local phone support. As a newer brand (founded 2022), the long-term Australian track record is still developing. The Sigen Battery carries a 10-year product warranty, with a performance warranty of at least 70% usable-energy retention over 10 years or a minimum throughput energy, whichever comes first.

For Perth installations, the IP66 rating handles outdoor placement well, and the high continuous power output suits homes with significant air conditioning loads. The EV charging integration becomes more useful as WA EV adoption grows.
